Chatpati Sukhi Urad Dal, Spicy Dry Urad Dal.


  1. I bowl soaked white urad dal
  2. 1 onion chopped
  3. 1 tomato chopped
  4. Chopped garlic 4 -5 cloves
  5. Chopped ginger
  6. Salt
  7. Turmeric
  8. Garam Masala
  9. Red Chilli Powder
  10. Amchhor /Khatai
  11. Jeera Cumin)
  12. Heeng (Asafoetida)
  13. Dry Red whole chillies
  14. Cinnamon
  15. Ghee


    • Boil Dal with salt, turmeric, garam masala and one bowl water. Two whistles are enough.
    • Heat ghee in a pan, add jeera, Heeng , Dry chillies, cinnamon, add onion , garlic and ginger, fry, add tomatoes and green chillies. Fry till done.
    • Add to dal.
    • Serve with butter and Roti.
